STI rocks

A lot of diverse subjects are taught in MBA. One such subject was Social Transformation of India taught by Prof. A F Mathew . At first you may think it is a boring subject as it is related to society, caste etc. But the way Prof Mathew handles the subject is awesome. He presents the facts about caste, religion etc from a different point of view. He tells us the plight of a women who is dalit, Muslim and poor.He touches upon the topic of gender bias by quoting this line " if a guy sleeps with many girls, he is a stud but if a girl does so she is a slut". He cited examples from history that Christians committed more crimes than Muslims. He started a new trend of showing foreign movies like the graveyard of fireflies (Japanese anti war movie), all about my mother, lesser humans ( a documentary on plight of dalits). By the end of the course, we had an altogether different view of Indian society.
